This park lies on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Kigoma region, and it was named after the Mahale mountains range that is within the borders, this park has its unique characteristics, first and unique characteristic this is one of the two protected area for chimpanzee in the country.

Mahale National Park is located in remote and it offers visitor attractions, different activities can be done here, ranging from walking safari, chimpanzee viewing in their natural habitat, trekking mount Nkungwe and snorkeling in the Lake Tanganyika. There is only two ways to access this park, could either be by boat or by air, which makes this park least accessible and least visited.

Wake up early in the morning for catching a shared charter flight from Arusha to Mahale. After landing depart from Mahale airstrip for 1.5hr transfer by Dhow boat to the camp. After lunch you will start a chimpanzee trekking if time will allow, alternatively you will have short forest walk.In the evening you will sundowners on the beach.

After breakfast depart for morning Chimpanzee trekking. Explore the chimps in their natural habitat it is very fascinating experience. The chimpanzee population in the Mahale National Park is the largest in the world. The landscape of Mahale is hilly dominated by the Mahale Mountains, the highest point of the Mahale Mountains is mount Nkungwe, with altitude of 2,462m. Later afternoon return to the Lodge for lunch.

On the third day, you will have another opportunity to do Chimpanzee trekking. Today you will take a hike to spot chimpanzees, and today you will take like half an hour (when chimpanzee descending the mountain to the lake) to 8 hours when they are high up the ridges.Later in the afternoon you will have a lunch at the lodge.
