Experience Guide
Share a warm, home-cooked Swahili meal in a local mama’s courtyard in Mto wa Mbu. Settle in at the family table as your guide and hosts share stories about the town’s 130+ tribes, everyday life, and the traditions behind each dish. Typical menus feature pilau or ugali, grilled chicken or beef (or a veggie main), mchicha greens, maharage (beans), seasonal vegetables, chapati, kachumbari, and fresh fruit.
